News update regarding what's going on. |

The latest release, «The Ogress», has so far been a great success, and the album have got a lot of very good reviews (6/6 in Metallian mag., 4/5 in Hardrock mag., 4/5 in Hard 'N Heavy, 5/6 in Exact, 5/6 in Scream mag. etc...), it was even the «Album of the Month» in Metallian. So far Crest of Darkness has most of all been a studio-project, but Amlien is telling me that he is working very hard this days making the band also become a great live-band. Hopefully the band can do the first concerts already this year, but as Amlien says; «I won't promise anything for sure, but I know that it will be much more easy to go on the stage after we have done the next album. I know this because we are working much more like band unit now. Anyway... I would really like to do some concerts before the next release». Amlien is already working hard with new songs for the next album, and for the moment this has top priority.

The Ogress has been released (atleast here in Norway). This is a stunning album that is worth checking out!!! Album snapshots and information are to be found in the discgraphy section!!

New Satyricon album including Ingar on bass. |

I've finaly got my hand of Satyricons IntermezzoII. This is a mini-album with four tracks, 20min. The reson I tell you is that Ingar does the bass on two of the tracks (A Moment of Clarity and INRI). I personaly think this is mini has atleast three tracks worth buying, so give it a try!

I've now heard the upcoming album and I think it's great. Nine long tracks which is Crest of Darkness on it's best! You can recognize some parts but Ingar has experimented a lot and I think he's done well. It vary a lot thruout the album and you shouldn't get bored. On two of the tracks Roy Khan has additional vocals, but even more interesting is the vocals by Kristin Fjellseth (Pale Forest). She has some themes here and there and I think she's on five of the tracks. Especialy the title track (The Ogress) is interesting, here you find a dialog between the female (Kristin) and the male (Ingar) voice. «The Ogress» is an Album to look out for, release will be late this month.
